Title: Hyperspectral field acquisition in low light conditions with the aid of artifical ilumination.

Underground environments present a challenge for hyperspectral outcrop analysis. Besides operational safety and moisture, illumination is the main concern in data acquisition. We demonstrate the results of a campaign where we used artificial light in combination with a HySpex camera to illuminate rock faces in a former gold mine in southeast Spain. We show that band ratio measures developed for low-light conditions can highlight key minerals that can be used as a vector toward the ore zone.
