Susanna Grita

Susanna is a geologist who graduated at Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. She started her career in 2017 in the field of emergency mapping as a GIS and Earth Observations expert, initially within the United Nations (at UNITAR-UNOSAT in Switzerland) and then for the Copernicus Program (at ITHACA) in Italy. She has also been involved in land cover mapping for the Copernicus Land service at the German company GAF AG based in Munich.

She is currently undertaking a Ph. D. at the Univeristy of Rome “La Sapienza” and the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. Her research is focused on the use of 3D and multispectral/hyperspectral data for critical raw material early stage exploration.

One piece of advice?

It is never too late to learn something new. And often this comes from the most unpredictable encounters. So don’t be afraid to be curious and to listen to different points of view.
